All are WelcomeWe are all children of God our Creator. Therefore, youth ministry does not
exclude anyone.
The Young are VulnerableWe recognize the young people are vulnerable and easily influenced. The youth ministry will protect all young people and follow proper reporting procedures when harm is done.
Nourished by the EucharistThe Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith and we recognize the need to be nourished by the Bread of Life. Therefore, the youth ministry participates in the communal celebration of the Eucharist.
More than CatechesisThe youth ministry recognizes that catechesis is not the only aspect of faith development.
Service to Others As a parish committed to the service of others, the youth ministry strives to serve those in our parish and local community.
“Journey of a Lifetime”
We affirm that faith is a lifelong journey and respect each person’s point on their individual journey to God.
Cost
There is no cost to attend youth ministry. For extra events there is a small fee. We try to assist as much as possible via parish subsidy & scholarships.
Who can attend
We welcome all teens who are in grades 7th-12th. Our program consists of parishioners, non-parishioners, Catholics, and non-Catholics.
Friends are always welcome to attend events!
Attendance
We understand that many teens have extracurricular activities and we do not want to deter them from attending youth ministry.
Teens are welcome as their schedules permit.
Cancelation and Calendar
If youth ministry is cancelled you will be notified via bulletin, an announcement at Mass, email or text message.
Code of Conduct
We strive to create a safe and healthy environment built on respect for God, others, and Church property.
The Church of the Resurrection is smoke, drug, and weapon free.
Youth Ministry gatherings are an opportunity for us to gather as a community, therefore we ask that teens refrain from using cell phones and other electronic devices at Youth Ministry.
Out of respect for others, teens are asked to refrain
from foul and demeaning language.
Teens are asked to respect the opinions of others
and to listen when others are speaking.
Out of respect for the parish we expect that teens
will not damage Church property and that they will clean up their area.
All rules are for the safety and well-being of the teens and are expected to followed.
